Payment Methods

At Loxsport, paying on https://loxsport.com should be simple and secure. This Payment Policy explains which payment methods we accept, how payments are processed, the currency used, what isn’t supported, and how transactions are protected. It should be read together with our Shipping Policy, Cancellation Policy, Return & Refund Policy, and Warranty (all amounts are shown and refunded in USD).

1) Accepted payment methods

1.1 Credit / Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)

Select Credit/Debit Card at checkout and enter your details on the secure payment page.

When you are charged
If payment is approved, your card is typically charged immediately when you place your order (authorization and capture occur right away in most cases). Your order is confirmed only after successful payment.

Data safety
For your safety, Loxsport never stores full card numbers or CVV codes.

Secure processing
Payments are processed by PCI DSS–compliant payment processors (for example, Stripe or similar providers) using SSL/TLS encryption. Your bank may require additional verification such as CVV, billing ZIP/postcode, or 3-D Secure / SCA.

Authorization holds (pending charges)
Some banks may show a temporary “pending” authorization hold. This usually clears or converts to a completed charge within a few business days, depending on your bank.

Refunds
Approved refunds are returned to the same card in USD. The time it takes to appear depends on your bank.

1.2 PayPal

Select PayPal at checkout, log in to your PayPal account, and confirm payment. You will then return to an order confirmation page on our site.

If PayPal uses a bank transfer/eCheck, order handling begins after PayPal marks the payment as cleared. Refunds go back to your PayPal account or original funding source, depending on PayPal’s rules for the transaction.

1.3 Large / high-value orders (security checks)

To protect customers and reduce fraud risk, Loxsport may request a quick verification of billing or delivery details for some higher-value checkouts (for example, when billing and delivery details don’t match, or when multiple checkouts occur in a short period).

If verification cannot be completed within a reasonable time, we may cancel the order for safety. If a charge was captured, we will issue a refund in USD to the original payment method.

2) Currency & pricing (USD only)

All orders are charged and refunded in U.S. Dollars (USD).

If your card or PayPal uses another currency (e.g., GBP, EUR, AUD, CAD), your bank/PayPal converts the amount using their exchange rate and may apply fees. Exchange rates and conversion fees are set by your bank or PayPal—not by Loxsport. Differences between the purchase amount and refund amount in your local currency can occur due to exchange rates and provider fees.

Statement descriptor
Charges may appear on your statement as Loxsport or a related descriptor used by our payment processor.

3) Taxes, duties & what you see at checkout

Any applicable sales tax/VAT and any duties or brokerage amounts we collect (when applicable) will be shown at checkout in USD.

How duties/VAT are handled depends on the Shipping Policy for your destination. If duties/taxes are included in your checkout total, you generally should not pay them again at delivery. If local authorities or carriers collect charges at delivery, this will be communicated where possible before you confirm payment.

4) Promotions and discount codes

Promotions and discount codes apply at checkout. They generally cannot be applied retroactively to orders already placed.

5) Unsupported payment methods

To keep payments secure and timelines clear, Loxsport does not accept:

  • bank transfers / wire transfers (unless explicitly offered for a specific checkout),

  • checks,

  • cash on delivery (COD),

  • cryptocurrency.

If new payment options are added, this policy will be updated.

6) Authorizations, charges, refunds & disputes

6.1 Authorizations (pending)

Some banks show a temporary authorization hold (“pending”). Most holds clear within 3–7 business days, but timing depends on your bank.

6.2 Charges

Your payment method is typically charged immediately when you place your order and payment is approved. We usually process one total charge for the full order, even if items ship in separate cartons (unless your bank/payment method displays transactions differently).

6.3 Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method (card or PayPal) in USD. Posting time depends on your bank or PayPal.

6.4 Declines / duplicate pending lines

If a payment is declined, your order is not confirmed. If you see duplicate pending authorizations, they are usually temporary and disappear automatically based on your bank’s timeline. If you need help, contact us.

6.5 Chargebacks (bank disputes)

If something looks wrong on your statement or with your order, please contact Loxsport first. In many cases we can resolve issues faster directly (for example, correcting an error, sending missing parts where applicable, or issuing a refund). Filing a chargeback immediately can slow resolution and may require additional verification.

7) Security & compliance

Checkout pages use SSL/TLS encryption to protect data in transit. Payments are processed via PCI DSS–compliant payment gateways. Loxsport never stores full card numbers or CVV codes. Access to limited payment information is restricted to trained staff and used only for support, order handling, and fraud prevention.

For some cards in the EU/UK and other regions, Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) / 3-D Secure may be required by your bank. Always confirm you see https:// and the lock icon in your browser before entering payment details.

No payment surcharges
We do not add extra fees based solely on your choice of payment method. Any foreign exchange fees are set by your bank or PayPal.

8) Payment troubleshooting

If a payment fails or looks unusual, try:
Check your details (card number, expiry, CVV, billing ZIP/postcode).
Complete any bank security prompts (3-D Secure/SCA).
Try another browser or device.
Call your bank to approve the transaction (especially for higher-value or international purchases).
Use PayPal if your card continues to be blocked (if available).

We respond to payment-related support requests as quickly as possible on business days.

9) Policy updates

We may update this Payment Policy when payment methods change, security practices change, or legal/banking requirements change. When updates are made, the “Last updated” date at the top will be revised. Material changes may be highlighted on the site.
